(2) Hallelujah Acres® Ministry, update by Rev. Malkmus
Greetings...
HEALTH MINISTERSM TRAINING GREAT SUCCESS
This past week we held our 58th Health Minister Training here at Hallelujah Acres. Over 8,000 have now completed our training, and these trained Health Ministers are located in every state in the United States as well as in 45 foreign countries. Prior to this training we had trained Health Ministers serving in 44 foreign countries, but this past week we had a Chemical Engineer from Jakarta, Indonesia go through training to bring the number to 45.
Included in the over 8,000 who have been through training are 60 medical doctors. Prior to this past week we had 59 doctors who had been through our training, but this week we had another medical doctor go through training, increasing the number of doctors who have been through training to 60. You will learn who this doctor is and a little about him in Section (4).
We also had eight pastors go through this training session, who will join the over 800 previously trained pastors. Two of the pastors were from Nigeria. You can read the reason one of the Nigerian pastors came for training in Section (4) of this Health Tip.
In Section (3) of this Health Tip, I share a newspaper article that appeared in the local paper of a Portland, Oregon suburb, telling of the ministry of two of our Hallelujah Acres trained Health Ministers. I believe you will find it an interesting read.
In Section (4) of this Health Tip, in the MAILBAG section, you will read several exciting testimonies from pastors, telling how MS and IBS symptoms were overcome in a matter of weeks after adopting The Hallelujah Diet. These pastors also share a little about their reason for coming for Health Minister Training.
Finally, just before this week's Recipe for Life in Section (6), in the featured article Section (5), we share more excerpts from Dr. Dan Chesnut’s new book, “LYING WITH AUTHORITY.” In this article, Dr. Chesnut tells us “WHY ANIMAL PRODUCTS ARE SO BAD FOR YOU.” Everyone needs to read this article in order to understand “WHY” they should not consume animal products. If you love your body you will reed and heed the advice Dr. Chesnut provides here. Many will want to share this information with friends and loved ones.
Before we move on to the testimonies, Health Tip, recipe for this week, and more, I want to express a hearty 'WELCOME' to the new subscribers who joined our Hallelujah Health Tip family this past week. WELCOME ABOARD!

(3) HEALTH MINISTERS IN OREGON MAKE HEADLINE NEWS
Here at Hallelujah Acres we have just completed our 58th Health Minister training. We now have over 8,000 Health Ministers whom we have trained, and they are located in every state in the United States, as well as in 45 foreign countries. What do these Health Ministers do? Well, the below article will give you a little idea of what two Health Ministers are doing in their home town of Tualatin, a suburb of Portland, Oregon:

“Some people call it vegan. We call it plant-based. We’re trying to remove the stigma of veganism,” Rick Asche says of the lifestyle he and his wife Gayle have been following for the last three years.
Rick, who has a family history of heart disease, found himself struggling with his health and went from traditional doctors to naturopaths looking for a solution. Gayle says she had ongoing issues with weight gain, upset stomach and arthritis. Rick’s sister told the couple about the Hallelujah Diet, a plant-based and mainly raw diet based on Genesis 1:29. When Rick read an e-mail from Hallelujah Acres correlating longevity and eating habits, something clicked.
“It was just one of those epiphanies, where you get confirmation of what you’re thinking,” says Rick of the e-mail. “I had done a lot of reading on the Hallelujah Diet,” says Gayle. “We tried a few of the recipes on the Web site. After close to a year, I asked Rick if he’d like to try it for two or three months, just give it a try.” When Rick agreed, the two embarked on a nutritional journey together.
“We set a date. We said, ‘OK, we’re going to start on this day,’ which was just a week later. We started, and basically haven’t looked back,” says Gayle. The results have been dramatic.
“We’ve both improved health-wise,” says Gayle. “Our energy levels have improved. I’ve lost 50 pounds. He’s lost weight. My stomach trouble went away instantly. The arthritis that I’ve always had in my hands and partway down my arm – one day while I was driving down the road, it occurred to me that my arms weren’t aching anymore. All of that was very encouraging,” says Gayle.
While working out at Curves, Gayle met Sharyl Ashley, a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tualatin. During their workouts, the two would talk about mutual vegetarian interests. Later, when Pastor David T. Smith and Ashley had a discussion about wanting to put on a series of public nutritional seminars at the church, Ashley thought of the Asches.
“We went back east for some training at Hallelujah Acres,” says Rick. “We became health ministers with Hallelujah Acres. We were trained to start our own health ministry, working with people, reaching out, and helping them to improve their health through education. So, teaching food prep classes is a natural part of that.”
For four weeks in October, the Asches demonstrated recipes and talked about nutrition at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tualatin on Monday nights. They made everything from no-bake apple pie to vegan ranch dressing to stuffed bell peppers to a raw “pasta” dish made with spiralized zucchini. “It was a lot of fun to get to know people. It was also very nerve-racking,” says Gayle of standing before a group of about 30 people each week. “It was a good stretching experience.”
“I’m an engineer by profession, and I’ve spoken to a thousand people at times,” says Rick. “I’m a homemaker by profession,” says Gayle, laughing at the difference. The Asches stress that although a plant-based diet cannot cure disease, it can have profound benefits.
“The diet doesn’t cure diseases. What the diet does is give the body the nutrients it needs so the immune system can do what it was built to do. A lot of the times, people don’t want to believe that it can help with health ailments because it just seems too simple, and it goes so against everything they’ve learned,” says Gayle.
Rick says that since going on the lifestyle, they’ve had very few colds and he’s stopped taking aspirin for his back. Gayle even gave up coffee, after being so accustomed to it she could drink a cup before bedtime and still fall asleep.
Hallelujah Acres has several Lifestyle CentersSM throughout the country. The Asches, who reside in West Linn, are hoping to open one locally someday. “A lot of times, when people get started on a plant-based, vegan-type diet, they don’t know where to go or what to do. All they can see is salads, carrots and celery sticks.”
“We are trying to show a range of exciting flavors,” Rick says of the dishes they demonstrated at the Tualatin cooking class. “You can make it as spicy and as appetizing or as simple or complicated as you want. We want people to get over the idea that it has to be bland.” The Asches, who host raw potlucks each month, are interested in doing more cooking classes and events. Their email address is rasche@opusnet.com and the Hallelujah Acres Website is www.hacres.com.

(4) From the Mailbag
This past week we held our 58th Health Minister Training here at Hallelujah Acres. Over 8,000 have now been through our training, and these trained Health Ministers are now located in every state in the United States as well as 45 foreign countries. Included in these 8,000 are 60 medical doctors and over 800 pastors. Prior to this past week we had trained 59 medical doctors, this past week we added another doctor, making a total of 60 Medical Doctors who have completed our training.
Antonio Jimenez, M.D., director of the Hope4Cancer Institute in Tijuana, Mexico was in attendance at this past week’s Health Minister Training. Attending with “Dr. Tony”, as we affectionately call him, was his wife Marcy. At their institute, they use non-toxic cancer fighting therapies, including detoxification, alkalinization, oxygenation, and nutrition, in the treatment of cancer. Their web site is www.hope4cancer.com.
Francisco Contreras, M.D., director of the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana, and often a speaker here at Hallelujah Acres, has previously been through our training, and The Oasis of Hope Hospital has used The Hallelujah Diet as a healing modality in their hospital. The Oasis web site is www.oasisofhope.com. Both Dr. Tony and Dr. Contreras are Christian Medical Doctors.
It is very exciting to us here at Hallelujah Acres to have Medical Doctors who understand and appreciate the part living plant nutrients play in a cancer patient overcoming their cancer. It is sad that the average medical doctor of today fails to realize that true healing comes from the inside out, not from the outside in. Chemotherapy, radiation and surgery do not and cannot, heal cancer. What these modalities do is damage and thus further weaken the immune system, making it ever more difficult for the body to heal itself.
True healing comes from the inside out! When we give the body the nutrients it needs to rebuild the cell structure of the immune system and essential organs, the body will usually heal itself of whatever the physical problem is, including cancer, as those who read the testimonies in this MAILBAG section have learned through the years.
NOW LET’S HEAR FROM A FEW OF THE PASTORS ATTENDING TRAINING
Pastor Michael Sustar, is 39 years old, and has a congregation of several hundred in Phoenix, Arizona. His email address is Sustarministries@aol.com. Pastor Michael had this to say on his application: “Two years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and the symptoms continued to worsen, until I could barely shuffle along or climb even a few stairs. My eyesight was also deteriorating rapidly. Then my wife heard from her mom in Peru about a lady in Peru who had gone to Hallelujah Acres, adopted The Hallelujah Diet, and seen all of her MS symptoms go away. So my wife and I went to The Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle Center in Plant City, Florida. We went to that particular Lifestyle Center, because Dave Orcutt, who runs the Center along with his wife Sherry, was able to overcome MS on The Hallelujah Diet. At the Lifestyle Center I adopted The Hallelujah Diet and within just eleven weeks, I was able to walk normally, bound up stairs, and my eyesight had improved tremendously. Many of the people in my church, because of the improvements they have seen in their pastor, have adopted The Hallelujah Diet, and can’t wait for us to return from Health Minister Training so that we can share more information about the diet with them. My wife Monica, who had thyroid problems, has also seen considerable improvement since the diet change. I presently am not only the pastor of a local church, but minister by television to millions of people around the world.”
Christian Jeje-Philip, Ed.D, D.D., is a Minister of the Gospel and a Nutritional Counselor in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. Christian’s email address is Jejephilip1@yahoo.com. He had the following to say on his application: “As a Minister of the Gospel and a Nutritional Counselor, I have observed that many good Christians die in spite of fervent prayer by the church on their behalf. It is my sincere desire to share the Gospel of Good Health through consultative education, conferences, seminars, and workshops in order to: (1) Help those suffering from some ailment to recover by recommending a dietary regimen based on Biblical principles. (2) Encourage the use of God-given guidelines of proper nutrition. (3) Organize and provide training courses, workshops, seminars and conferences for the training of prospective Health Ministers in the local churches in my country. My wife suffered with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), I encouraged her to adopt The Hallelujah diet, and when she did, within two months of making the diet change had recovered.”

(5) WHY ARE ANIMAL SOURCE FOODS SO BAD FOR YOU?
For the past six weeks, in Health Tips #568-573, we have been sharing excerpts from Dr. Dan Chesnut’s new book, LYING WITH AUTHORITY. In Health Tip #568 we shared excerpts from the Introduction. In Health Tips #569 & #570 we looked at Why Do We Get Sick? In Health Tip #571 we talked about Free Radicals and Antioxidants, and for the past two weeks, in Health Tips #572 and #573, we looked at the part NUTRITION plays in AGING.
All of these previous Health Tips are available at www.hacres.com, then left-click the box in the upper right corner of page which reads “Hallelujah Health Tip,” and then at the top, “archives,” and then the Health Tip number desired.
All of the previous excerpts have been taken from Chapters 1 thru 4 (pages 1 thru 63) of
Dr. Dan Chesnut’s new book, Lying With Authority. This week we are going to skip over to Chapter 18 (pages 197-202) where Dr. Chesnut discusses the subject “Animal Source Foods.”
ANIMAL SOURCE FOODS
“THIS MEANS ANY FOOD PRODUCT DERIVED FROM ANY ANIMAL, including pork, beef, lamb, poultry, eggs, all dairy products (including cheese), and fat derived from animal.
“OVER 15 MILLION AMERICANS ARE NOW VEGETARIANS. Some authors say that humans are omnivores—can eat and adjust to both plant and animal based foods—I strongly disagree; and not without paying a price.
“You and I have been conditioned to believe that eating animal products provides proper nutrition, and that we must have this type of protein. Some people survive eating animal products to old age, but almost none survive eating animal products without serious illness, or without medication which also makes them sick. Many do not survive consuming it and die prematurely, while many others live a life of misery with such handicaps as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, lupus, chronic cancers and especially cardiovascular disease.
“And we must include allergies, skin diseases, gastrointestinal disease, hair loss, osteoarthritis, skeletal muscular disease, asthma and infections, which are affected by excessive animal source foods. OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW WHO ARE OVER 60 AND ARE NOT TAKING ANY MEDICATION, THEY ARE ALL VEGETARIANS. Or you could say, ‘If you eat animal source foods, you will need medication too.’
“I can assure you that once you have abstained from ‘animal’ for a few days, you will have some eye-opening experiences when eating animal is resumed during ‘slips’ back to your old habits. With these relapses you will notice one or more of the following: gas, distension, constipation, heartburn, sluggishness after meals, poor concentration or increased body odor. While ‘eating clean’ (that is, all plant based foods), you will feel lighter, have more energy, enjoy a flat comfortable abdomen, better bowel movements, more desire to ‘move around’, a clearer head and much more.
“The above reactions are mentioned by almost 100% of the new vegetarians. No question, you’ll feel better without animal. So stay the course, and at some point you will gradually lose the taste and desire for animal. When that occurs, each ‘slip’ will be a revelation as to how bad it was, in ways you overlooked before. And with good reason, the evidence against animal in the diet mounts each year.
It is nothing new; it has just not been made a priority by those who influence public health awareness. Hank-Aaron, the all-time major league home run record holder, knew it; he was a vegetarian. Many informed advocates for less animal source foods have been voices in the background, but when T Colin Campbell, PhD., and his associates in The China Study published their final results in 2006, the cat jumped out of the bag (finally), in a more forceful way. The word is spreading and those open-minded people who take heed are rewarded for their new insight.
EDITORS NOTE: Dr. Campbell’s book, The China Study, is available from Hallelujah Acres by calling 1.800.915.9355; on the web at https://shopping.hacres.com/item/itemKey/1198170; or it can be found on page 26 of the current issue of Hallelujah Acres Diet and Lifestyle Product & Events Catalog.
Following is a quote from Dr. Campbell: “Only small intakes of animal products were associated with significant increases in chronic degenerative diseases.”
WHY ARE ANIMAL SOURCE FOODS SO BAD FOR YOU?
The best and purest nutrients are FIRST HAND, directly from plants. The worst nutrients are SECOND HAND, because they have passed through another animal . . . . All second hand nutrients go through chains of activity which greatly increase the chance for serious or even fatal problems. . . .
Animal source nutrients are neither necessary for life nor easily digested or assimilated by humans. Most animal source foods in this modern age must be cooked for safety and palatability, destroying nutrients in the process. Enzymes are destroyed with cooking. Cooking meat creates a real problem for man’s digestive capabilities. People who eat this way for many years, especially with almost no raw plant foods, are at high risk for disease.
“Humans are not ‘designed’ for animal source nutrients. Our teeth, digestive enzymes, and intestinal tract are best suited for, and most compatible with, those of a plant eater, not a meat eater. Meat eaters, such as cats, rip, tear, and swallow large chunks of raw flesh, which falls into a highly acid stomach teaming with bacteria. Cats have much higher metabolic rates, much more acid, different enzymes, and the gut is short to expel residue after rapid digestion of raw meat still containing enzymes not destroyed by cooking, which greatly aids digestion and absorption. . . .
“Cooked meats, pasteurized dairy, and other modified animal sources remain in our guts up to three to four days, leaving a huge digestive energy burden, constant acid ash, wrong bacteria, and a host of related problems. I personally suffered for 20 years with acid problems—hiatus hernia, esophagitis, gastritis, duodenitis, colitis; spent thousands; lost hundreds of hours of sleep, consumed a ton of antacids (containing aluminum) and was never told by my specialists to stop eating meat.
“At the end of my rope, sicker than ever—I stopped cold turkey—ALL ANIMAL. In just three days, JUST THREE DAYS, all symptoms were GONE and remain GONE to this day. . . . I am very upset that I never learned, never knew, and that I believed the medical elite. In counseling hundreds of patients, less than one percent were ever told by their doctor to avoid meat. The problem is much worse than I ever imagined; oncologists are even telling cancer patients that ‘it doesn’t matter what you eat, you’ll die anyway.’ THAT’S REALLY OBSCENE. I hear it over and over again. What a terrible lie by authoritative people.
“Animal foods are mostly fat and protein cooked into monster fats and modified protein, what I call rubber protein. It is hard to chew, hard to digest, tainted with chemicals and dangerous to your body.
At the cellular level, excessive bad fat creates a multitude of problems. It is abundantly clear that the incidence of many cancers, almost all cardiovascular disease and diabetes goes up dramatically with high animal protein/fat diets. Even so-called ‘clean’ meat is still laced with fat. Protein in dairy and poultry is also loaded with fat. To make matters worse, we grill (burn) and process animal products to create unnatural and ‘trans’ fats and other alien molecules.
“Physicians have noted for years that one of the most common sensitivity and allergic sources is milk products. Many infants have serious intolerances to cow milk. Physicians see attention disorders and other ailments of brain dysfunction improve following abstinence from dairy. The protein in milk is another grave danger. . . .
“In America, a staggering 40% to 70% of protein comes from animal sources, while in areas of China and other countries, this figure is less than 10%. Aside from the fat dangers, excess animal protein feeds cancer. Excessive animal protein clearly contributes to pulling calcium out of the bones day by day, contributing to osteoporosis. Animal has no fiber and no antioxidants. . . .
“You need to get the disastrous picture of what goes on behind the scenes from meat producer to supermarket. Cattle, hogs, chickens, are given drugs. Antibiotics are given to prevent infections, which could wipe out large numbers in cramped quarters; some producers use huge quantities, in spite of government standards. Many of their residues are found in animal flesh and milk.
“Various hormones are given to speed growth. Residues are passed on to the meat eaters. Fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides are sprayed on grain, grass and other animal feeds. As we digest the various animal source foods we absorb the residues. . . . No one knows for sure the magnitude or the consequences of all the chemical contamination . . . but it is clear that problems are occurring.
“Dr. Neal Bernard estimates that animal source foods cause 90% of common disease and death in America today. Neal Barnard, M.D. of the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine reported some interesting figures estimating medical costs attributed to meat consumption in the US in 1992 dollars: Hypertension 8.5 billion; Heart Disease +9.5 billion; Cancer as high as 16.5 billion; Diabetes 17 billion; Obesity 2 billion . . . . Total medical costs for diseases attributed to meat consumption were as high as 61.4 billion in 1992.
“From the China Study we learn ‘There are virtually no nutrients in animal foods which are not better provided by plants.’ The very worst problems with an animal based diet are: High cholesterol; No fiber; No antioxidants; Produces acid ash in the intestines, which increases acidity in blood, requiring huge drains on bone calcium to correct the acidity; Promotes all cancers and cardiovascular disease."
Dr. Chestnut is just one of the 60 medical doctors who have completed our Health Ministry training program here at Hallelujah Acres. For more information about Dr. Chesnut’s book, “LYING WITH AUTHORITY,” or to purchase the book, call Hallelujah Acres at (800) 915-9355 or purchase on the web at https://shopping.hacres.com/item?itemKey=1200006.
EDITORS NOTE:
How much longer is it going to take for the world and especially the Christian Community, to realize that animal sourced foods are the cause of most of the physical problems they are experiencing, while all the while, God has placed in PLANTS, all the NUTRIENTS the body has need of, to experience the ultimate health God designed for His human creation? But don’t expect this revelation to come from the medical establishment or the food industry, because promoting this knowledge would not be profitable to them.
And don’t expect this information to come from the average preacher either, because the average preacher, as well as the average Christian, has bought into the world’s SAD diet. Yes, the average preacher and Christian totally ignores God’s instructions as to what humans should eat, as so clearly articulated by God in Genesis 1:29, where the diet our physical bodies were designed to be nourished with is preceded with these words: “AND GOD SAID . . . ."
If you are not already on The Hallelujah Acres Diet, may I encourage you to give it a try! Hallelujah Acres is a Christian Ministry that teaches health from a Biblical perspective! Hallelujah Acres is trying to help the Christian community (as well as anyone else who will listen) realize that God's ORIGINAL diet, as given by God in the Bible, in Genesis 1:29, was God's perfect plan for the proper nourishment of His human creation. Multitudes have made this diet change that we teach here at Hallelujah Acres, and experienced normalization of weight, as well as the elimination of almost all their physical problems.
